Advanced Tube Bending Training

Effective tube bending is a craft that is developed over time, with practice, but there are ways to fast track that skill. In Tube Bending Essentials, you learn the basics of simple bends and operation of the Swagelok hand tube bender tools. Advanced Tube Bending is an extensive two-day course that provides practice with tube bending equipment and teaches multiple methods to bend tube to more precise shapes. This class enables attendees to bend smarter and more effectively, reducing scrap and lost time. 

Course Objectives

If you are a maintenance or installation system professional, this course will ensure that you learn how to properly and safely bend tubing in even the most complex or challenging environments to get optimum value from your Swagelok products.

This training will provide you with:

• A detailed, mathematical approach that will improve accuracy, allowing for better quality prototypes and output
• Improved system performance and enhanced aesthetic qualities of your tubing system
• Reduced scrap and rework time caused by inaccurate tube bending practices
• An emphasis on operational issues, over overcome through hands-on experience

• The Measure-Bend Method of Tube Bending
• The Swagelok Method of Tube Bending
• How to make both simple and custom offset bends
• Understanding constraints of tube bending, such as minimum distances between bends
• Making segmented bends and rolling offsets
• Use of a variety of hand tube bender sizes, from quarter inch to a half inch in diameter
• Hands-on experience constructing a peg board (shown at right)

Tuition covers all course materials, including equipment and training materials and lunch/snacks/beverages.
